North Carolina Pro Services builds and remodels homes. This site exists so you can see our work and ask us about yours, and this policy explains what happens to the details you send when you do.

What we collect

When you send a quote request through our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name.
  • A phone number, an email address, or both — one is required so we can reply, and you choose which.
  • What you would like help with, and whatever you tell us about the project.
  • Which page you were on when you sent the request.

That is the whole of it. There are no accounts to create, no newsletter, and nothing is bought or sold through this site, so we never ask for a password or a card number.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, to talk through the work, and to keep a record of what was discussed if the project goes ahead. We do not use your details for advertising, and we do not sell them or hand them to anyone who wants to market to you.

Who else handles it

Running a website means other companies hold some of this on our behalf. Each is bound by its own agreement with us and may use the information only to provide its service:

  • Vercel hosts the site and stores the photographs on it, and keeps ordinary server logs, which include the network address a request came from.
  • MongoDB Atlas stores the quote requests.
  • Resend delivers the email that tells our office a request has come in.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the form was filled in by a person rather than a bot.
  • Google Analytics counts visits, and only once you have accepted analytics — see below.

Cookies and analytics

The first time you visit, the site asks whether you are happy for us to measure traffic. If you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies and we see how many people visited, which pages they read and roughly where they came from — never who they are. If you decline, or simply ignore the question, Google Analytics is never loaded and none of its cookies are set. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the question back.

Cloudflare Turnstile sets what it needs to tell a person from a bot when you use the form. Our staff sign-in also uses cookies, but only for us — there is nothing on this site for a visitor to sign in to.

How long we keep it

We keep a quote request for as long as it is useful: while we are replying, while the work is under discussion, and afterwards as a record of what was agreed and what we built. We have not set a fixed period, because a kitchen we finished years ago is exactly the job someone rings us about.

Asking us to delete or correct it

If you would rather we did not keep your details, ask and we will delete them. If something is wrong, tell us and we will correct it. Call us or send a note through the contact form. You do not have to give a reason, and we will not ask you for one.

One caveat, so this is honest: once a request has been emailed to our office it also sits in an inbox, and a copy may remain in our email records after we have deleted it from this site.

Children

This site is meant for homeowners. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from one. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will remove it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, quote requests are stored in a database only our staff can read, and staff sign-in is limited and rate-limited. No site can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Changes

If we change how any of this works, we change this page to match. The date at the top of the page is when it was last edited.
